Chór “Nowina” – information
Chór “Nowina” – is a mixed choir, composed mainly of seniors, with over 20 years of tradition. It has been operating continuously since October 2004 at the initiative of Mrs Krystyna Janec. Since the beginning, the team has been led by professional conductor Krzysztof Jończyk, and the chair of the choir is Mrs. Małgorzata Polit.
Activities
Activities of the choir “Nowinya”
The choir's activities focus on active participation in occasional events, reviews, competitions and festivals in the municipality (Days Nowiny, Christmas and Easter Kiermasz, annual celebrations of the guerrilla battle in Szewce or the municipal harvest), but also the county and voivodship, achieving numerous successes (rewards and awards). The most important are:
- Świętokrzyski Festival Kolęd and Pastoral of Bishop Mieczysław Kaczmark in Kielce
- Świętokrzyski Kolęd and Pastoralek Competition in Jędrzejów (finals in DK Włoszczów)
- Review of the Railway and Pastoral in Nowiny
- Review of Kolędy and Pastoralek in Zagnańsk
- Festival of Lenten Songs in Daleszyce
- Provincial Review of Marian Songs in Nowiny
Cooperation
Cooperation with institutions
Recently, the choir established cooperation with several centres in the voivodship, which resulted in concerts promoting the Municipality of Nowiny. To list here

Recently, the choir has also made contact with KCK Kelecki, thanks to which he will participate again in the action "Building Sienkiewka" - "Building Sienkiewka 2024 and 2025".

The chorus's repertoire is varied and adapted to the character and circumstances (...). The papers are from 1 to 4 votes with conductor accompaniment.

Conductor
Krzysztof Jończyk
He's been running the choir since he started. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Composition, Conducting and Theory of Music of the Academy of Music in Krakow in the speciality of symphonic conducting and postgraduate studies in Music Theory at the same university. He is a conductor, educator, arranger (author of many works for the choir), as well as pianist and trumpeter. He gained and expanded his professional experience working at the L. Różycki State School of Music, in Kielce and the Cathedral of Music at Jan Kochanowski University, in Kielce. He currently works at the Culture House in Włoszczów as a music instructor, piano teacher, accordion and wind instruments and arranger and pianist in Bigbang operating at DK in Włoszczów. He also has many years of experience working with his voice.
