On July 20, 2025, a Senioriada was held in the Ethnographic Park in Tokarnia – an event integrating senior communities from the area of the Kielce County. The organizer of the ceremony was the in Kielce County Old Town, and the Nowiny Municipality represented its community with dignity and joy.
The celebrations began with a colorful cortical of the participants and a Holy Mass, which was provided by Orkiestra Dęta Nowiny under chaplain Wojciech Materek.
Among the invited guests were:
- Krzysztof Jul – Member of the Polish Parliament
- Tomasz Dulny – Vice-starost of Kielce County
- Councillors of Kielce County
- Local authorities
The municipality of Nowiny represented:
- Zofia Duchniak – Vice-President of the Municipal Council
- Edita Bobryki – Director GOK “Perła” in Nowiny
- Halina had to – Councillor
- Circle of Rural Hosts ‘Kowalanki’
- Circle of Rural Hosts ‘Szewczanki’
- Senior Club ‘Seniorita’
The artistic part did not lack the performances of folklore bands. Special recognition of the audience was received by the joint performance “Szewczańek” and “Kowalanek”. The ladies joined forces, presenting a humorous song that kidnapped the audience and ended with an encore.
Seniority in Tokarni was not only an opportunity to present local talents, but also a celebration of integration, activity and shared spending time in a warm atmosphere.
