On September 21, at the monument commemorating the heroes fighting for the free Homeland, patriotic celebrations were held. It was a unique time of reflection, memory and gratitude to those who gave their lives for our freedom.
In an atmosphere of contemporaries and respect flowers were placed and candles lit. The common prayer during the field Mass and the numerous participation of the inhabitants showed that the memory of the heroes still continues and is passed on to subsequent generations.
We would like to thank Fr Józef Kubicz for the Holy Mass and the rich homily, as well as the City of Nowiny – Mr Łukasz Gryń – for its deep and respectful words.
We also express our gratitude to Mr Dionize Krawczyński for organising the event together with the Association of Historical Reconstruction “Jodła”, the Kielce Patriots, and to Mrs Izabela Stęplewska, the Head of the Organizational and Civil Affairs Department of Nowiny, for ensuring every detail of this solemn ceremony.
With all our heart, we thank all who have paid homage to the fallen with their presence. We send special thanks to the banners, young people and delegations representing the local community, as well as to our teams: KGW “Szewczanki”, the Nowiny Orchestra and the Nowiny Choir.
Let these meetings strengthen our community and remind us that freedom and independence are never given to us once and for all – they require care, unity and respect for history.
