On 11 November, the celebrations of the National Independence Day were held in the parish church of in Nowiny. The celebration began with the Holy Mass for the Fatherland, after which a verbal-music program entitled "The Word of the Independent" performed by the Nowiny Dense Orchestra. After the artistic part, the participants went to the parish cemetery in Nowiny, where flowers were placed under the memorial of the deceased in the fight for Poland's freedom.
The event was attended, among others, by the City of Nowiny Łukasz Gryń, together with her spouse, Deputy Wójta Daniel Czerwiak, Municipal Councillors Nowiny, Director of the Municipal Culture Centre in Nowiny Edyta Bobryk and Culture Manager GOK Ewa Lubacz.
