International Children's Book Day in GOK

International Children's Book Day in GOK

On April 2, we celebrated International Children's Book Day, and the Municipal Culture Centre “Perła” in Nowiny witnessed a special meeting on this occasion. Nurseries from Nowiny together celebrated this joyful day.

The mayor of Nowiny municipality, Łukasz Gryń, returned with sentiment to read his childhood and read to the youngest part of “The Adventures of Koziołek Małok”.

"Today is a beautiful holiday and on this occasion we host the most smiling inhabitants of Nowiny, that is, preschoolers. My favorite book as a child was “The Adventures of Koziołek Małok”, hence my sentiment and choice for today”

- explained the mayor.

Edyta Bobryk, director of the “Perła” in Nowiny Municipal Cultural Centre, presented contemporary children's literature to children, reading the popular series "Kicia Cat".

"I grew up on other books. I have read in the fairy tales of Andersen, Charles Perrault, Grimm Brothers, and today “Kicia Kocia”, which I read, meets with a wonderful reception. That's what I'm very happy about, because children know this literature perfectly. Nothing so wonderfully develops us as just reading books"

- stressed the director of GOK

The meeting featured a wonderful performance prepared by kindergarteners, who moved guests. Karolina Witecka, Director of Marketing at Radio eM Kielce, gave small gifts to the youngest in gratitude. Children received radio notebooks and books funded by the Unity Publishing House.

Co-organizers of this wonderful event were Radio eM Kielce and Wydawnictwo Unity. Thank you all for attending the celebration!
