On Sunday, June 22, a traditional event was held in the Ethnographic Park in Tokarni, resembling the old customs of haycos and Saturday celebrations. As every year, there were colorful performances, folk rites and regional tastes.
Teams from Nowiny commune actively joined these activities, presenting a rich artistic and ceremonial program.
The “Kowalanki” KGW Kowalanki celebration presented the “Mower's Challenge” which, despite the heat of the weather, was played with great energy and humour, gaining recognition and a big applause for a large audience.
On stage there was also the People's Team “Bolechowiczanie” who, in addition to the concert, presented a staging of preparations to work in the field, showing how the food for the reapers used to be prepared.
However, that's not all – Kowalanki also ran a wedding workshop, sharing this beautiful tradition with visitors, and their stand with regional dishes enjoyed great interest – the queue of hungry guests was endless!
